Palace vows to pray for ‘hallucinating’ De Lima
MANILA, Philippines – Senator Leila de Lima was just hallucinating when she said that President Rodrigo Duterte is the “biggest crisis” of the Philippines, Malacañang said Thursday.
De Lima, in a dispatch from her detention in Camp Crame released on President Rodrigo Duterte’s birthday, renewed her call for the Chief Executive to resign amid his “empty claims of being exhausted of fighting criminality in the country.”
“Obviously, she is the one in crisis,” Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said in a text message when sought for his comment.
De Lima marked her second year in prison in February after she was arrested for drug charges.
De Lima has maintained that she was innocent of the charges filed against her.
