Grab commends partner-driver for helping foil drug suppliers
MANILA, Philippines — Grab Philippines lauded on Saturday its Grab Express driver for being an “instrument” in the seizure of the party drugs that were supposed to be delivered to Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
Last Monday, around P1.5-million worth of suspected party drugs and “shabu” (crystal meth) were seized from two college students of La Salle in Manila.

According to Atty. Nicka Hosaka, Public Affairs Manager of Grab Philippines, its driver became suspicious when the suspects refused to open the package that he picked up.
This prompted its driver to deliver the package straight to the authorities instead to its drop-off point.

“Grab, together with its government agency partners — PNP and PDEA — is firm in its commitment to prevent the use of the platform for delivering illegal narcotics and other questionable items,” she added.
The company then encouraged its drivers to remain vigilant of suspicious items while performing their delivery service “to help promote a drug-free and crime-free Philippines.” /jpv
