Laguna bettor wins P49-M Ultra Lotto 6/58 jackpot

MANILA, Philippines — One lucky bettor from Laguna province bagged the P49-million jackpot for the Ultra Lotto 6/58 of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).

In a post on its official Facebook page on Monday, the PCSO announced that a sole bettor guessed the winning combination — 16-06-07-09-05-45 — drawn Sunday, February 24.

The winning ticket was sold at Biñan City, Laguna, according to PCSO.

Tax included, the winner won P49,500,000. But under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) law, lotto winnings are now subject to 20 percent tax.

Meanwhile, 12 bettors won P55,740 each for guessing five numbers of the winning combination.

Still no winner, however, for the Super Lotto 6/49 jackpot, which amounted to P26,880,801 as of Sunday night, PCSO said. /kga
