MANILA, Philippines — A special investigation task group (SITG) was created by the Eastern Police District (EPD) on Monday to fast-track the investigation on the murder of businessman Jose Luis Yulo and his driver.
Yulo, 62, and driver Allan Nomer Santos were onboard a Toyota Grandia when they were shot by motorcycle-riding suspects along Edsa in front of a hospital in Barangay Highway Hills, Mandaluyong City, at around 3:30 p.m on Sunday.

National Capital Region Police Office chief Director Guillermo Eleazar said the shooting might be related to business since Yulo reportedly had many businesses in Metro Manila and in Laguna.
“Business is one thing na (that) we are considering. But hindi naman ibig sabihin na iyan na ‘yan (But it does not mean that it’s final),” Eleazar told INQUIRER.net.
He said the police were not excluding other angles in the investigation. /cbb
