Drunk worker kills fellow laborer with shovel

LUCENA CITY — A 61-year-old construction worker was killed by a drunk fellow laborer in Lucban town, Quezon on Tuesday night.

Chief Insp. Bonna Obmerga, Lucban police chief, said in a report that Eugenio Sentilices was sitting on a chair inside the worker’s barracks when Marvin Lozano, 37, suddenly arrived and without any provocation, hit Sentilices’ head with a shovel.

The incident happened in First Ville Subdivision in Barangay Kilib at 8:50 p.m.

The bloodied victim was rushed by his fellow workers to the MMG Lucban Hospital but died along the way.
