Isabela’s largest gathering of people as scarecrows makes it to Guinness

MANILA, Philippines — The Provincial Government of Isabela has been recognized by the Guinness World of Records for organizing the largest gathering of people dressed as scarecrows.

Isabela’s Governor Faustino “Bojie” Dy and Vice Governor Tonypet Albano received the certificate given by the adjudicator from Guinness on Friday.

According to adjudicator from Guinness, 2,495 people dressed as scarecrows performed a dance during the Bambanti Festival Isabela.

This was higher than the expected record of 250 people dressed as scarecrows dancing simultaneously for five minutes.

Albano shared the proof of the certificate’s acceptance on his official Facebook page.
