MPD bares traffic rerouting scheme for ‘Buling Buling’ Festival

MANILA, Philippines – The Manila Police District (MPD) Traffic Enforcement Unit issued an advisory on Friday on road closures and re-routing of vehicles for the ‘Buling-Buling’ Festival.

MPD said the following roads are closed on January 19 starting 12 noon.

  • Jesus Street/Nagtahan
  • East Zamora Street/President Quirino Avenue
  • Pedro Gil Street/Carreon Street
  • Claudio Street/ Beata Street

Here’s  the parade route on January 19:

  • Starting at Liwasang Balagtas
  • Straight to Laura Street
  • Right to Tomas Claudio Street
  • Right to Labores Extension
  • Right to Narciso Street
  • Left to Jesus Street
  • Left to Labores Street
  • Right to Hilum Street
  • Right to T. San Luis Street
  • Right to Jesus Street
  • Ending at Sto. Niño Church

MPD advised all motorists using Jesus St. coming from Mabini Bridge (Nagtahan) to go straight to President Quirino to point of destination.

Meanwhile, motorists using Zamora Bridge coming from Valenzuela Street (Sta. Mesa area going to Pandacan) can turn left to Carreon Street right to Pedro Gil Street straight to Quirino Avenue to point of destination.

For motorists using Zamora Street, they can go straight to President Quirino to point of destination.

All motorists coming from Pedro Gil intending to use Carreon Street can drive straight to President Quirino  Avenue to point of destination.

All motorists intending to use Beata St. going to Palumpong and Laura St. should use Zamora Bridge to Sta. Mesa to point of destination.
