/ 07:24 AM May 31, 2011

CEBU’S TOP-seeded netters try to enter the round-of-16 in the 16th Gullas Cup, which came off wraps yesterday in three venues.

The boys 18, 16 and 12 are being contested at the Cebu Country Club. The girls 14 and girls 12 will be played at the Baseline Recreation Center while the 10-under unisex, boys 14 and girls 18 games are held at the Casino Español.

Tournament director Fritz Tabura said the event gathered the most number of participants this year with 133. He said they did not allow a double entry for participants this year because they have added a doubles event to the regular singles events for a change.
