1 hurt in C5 Road 7-vehicle collision

MANILA, Philippines — One person was injured following a multiple vehicle collision along the C5 Road southbound near Upper McKinley in Taguig City, Thursday morning.

According to the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the collision which happened at around 10 a.m.  involved a 22-wheeler truck, three cars, a pick-up, a Gold Line bus and a motorcycle.

MMDA Spokesperson Celine Pialago said malfunctioning brakes could have triggered the collision.

The road accident which occupied two lanes of the C5 Road triggered a traffic jam.

As of posting, MMDA has yet to clear the area.  /muf
