4 drug suspects slain in Bulacan

CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS-A female drug suspect and her companion were killed in a shootout with policemen during a buy-bust operation inside a private resort in the City of Malolos on Monday.

Bulacan police director Senior Supt. Chito Bersaluna said Gwynette Kylee Hong and Gary Israel Dela Cruz were killed after resisting arrest and firing at police during an anti-narcotics operation in Club Royale Resort and Hotel in Malolos about 8:30 p.m.

Two more drug suspects identified as Augusto Ojano and Johnrey Bergonio were killed after engaging policemen in a shootout during separate buy-bust operations over the weekend in the cities of San Jose del Monte and Meycauayan.

Police also arrested 52 drug suspects in several anti-illegal drugs operations in different towns and cities in the province since last week. CARMELA REYES-ESTROPE/lzb
