“I am optimistic that when I have political ads aired and when issues are ventilated, my performance and clean track record will pull me up.”

The senator said the trajectory of his rating was also “encouraging.”

“It is slow but steadily moving up,” he noted.

Ejercito also expressed his gratitude for the people’s continued support and encouragement .

“I may not be leading but being part of the winners’ circle is more than enough inspiration to work harder,” he added.

While Ejercito welcomes his entry into the winning circle in the Pulse Asia survey, Senator Bam Aquino called on voters to scrutinize the accomplishments and performance of candidates.

Aquino ranked 9th to 16th in the same survey.

“Natutuwa tayo sa pag-angat natin sa Pulse Asia Survey subalit mahaba pa po ang laban,” he said in another statement.

“Bagkus mabigat ang laban na ating susuungin, buo ang tiwala ko na ito’y kakayanin sa tulong at suporta ng ating taumbayan,” he added.

Aquino nevertheless underscored the importance of the voters’ role in the 2019 elections.

In particular, the opposition senator called on his supporters to convince their loved ones to weigh the accomplishments of all senatorial candidates, saying, “the country’s future depends on it.”

“Sa mga susunod pong mga linggo, kumbinsihin natin ang ating mga minamahal sa buhay na suriin ng mabuti ang bawat sa amin na naghahangad ng pwesto sa Senado,” he said.
