Calapan-Batangas trips via small vessels canceled

CITY OF CALAPAN — Trips by small seacraft plying the Calapan-Batangas route have been canceled on Sunday due to “rough seas.”

Only roll-on-roll-off (RORO) vessels are allowed to operate the route, though with some delay, the Oriental Mindoro Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said.

Meanwhile, the Public Safety Department of Calapan said Bucayao and Panggalaan roads, along the Strong Republic Nautical Highway, were not passable as of this writing due to flooding. /cbb
