5 hurt in four-vehicle collision on EDSA
MANILA, Philippines — Five persons were injured when four vehicles collided along the northbound lane of EDSA in Quezon City Wednesday, the Metropolitan Manila Development Bureau said.
The accident occured in front of the Nepa Q-Mart at around 3 a.m., said Dang Rosulada of the MMDA Metrobase.
She said that two taxi cabs (UVF-549 and UVD-381), an L300 van (ZCN-554), and a Hyundai car (YFN-340) were involved.
Reginald Sanchez of the MMDA Rescue said that their ambulance was able to rush one of the five injured persons to the East Avenue Medical Center for treatment but that the others were attended to by other ambulances that responded to the area.
There was heavy traffic momentarily but the vehicles were eventually cleared by 5:05 a.m., the MMDA said.
