Overnight parking banned at Naia Terminal 3 for now
Passengers heading out of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) will be barred from leaving their vehicles overnight at Terminal 3 starting at midnight of Thursday, Dec. 28, until Jan. 3 next year.
In a statement, the Manila International Airport Authority (Miaa) said it was suspending overnight and long-term parking at the terminal due to the growing number of passengers passing through the country’s premier gateway over the holiday season.
The deluge of passengers who availed themselves of long-term parking at Naia 3, the Miaa said, had deprived transient airport visitors of parking slots.
The temporary ban on overnight parking aims to free up space for those planning to pick up or send off their loved ones.
Normal operations at the Terminal 3 parking area will resume on Jan. 4, said Miaa public affairs officer Ariel Arcilla.
In December last year, over 3.7 million passengers passed through Naia.
