According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, a total of 273,358 deaths were registered from January to June 2018.
In the National Capital Region, 35,753 deaths were registered.
Among all cities nationwide, Quezon City topped the list with the most number of registered deaths at 7,917, followed by the City of Manila with 5,750, and Caloocan City with 4,126. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
