MANILA, Philippines — Oops, the number coding for private vehicles is not yet lifted on Dec. 31 and Jan. 2, 2019.

This was announced by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) less than six hours after it declared that the number coding scheme for private vehicles is lifted on the said dates.

In a text message sent by MMDA Spokesperson Celine Pialago to reporters on Thursday, the decision whether to suspend the coding on Dec. 31 and Jan. 2 is still “to be announced.”
