MRT-3 unloads 900 passengers due to electrical failure

MANILA, Philippines — A southbound train of the Metro Rail Transit line 3 (MRT-3) unloaded its passengers at the Cubao station on Wednesday afternoon.

In a report issued by the train management, approximately 900 passengers were unloaded from the MRT-3 train at 5:58 p.m. after its motors encountered an electrical failure.

The offloaded passengers were serviced by the succeeding train that came nine minutes after the incident.

According to the MRT-3 management, its last offloading incident happened on November 17 when a northbound train’s motors encountered an electrical failure which affected around 650 passengers. /je
