DID YOU KNOW: 70% of kids vaccinated in 2017

According to the 2017 National Demographic and Health Survey recently released by the Philippine Statistics Authority, 70 percent of children aged 12 to 23 months last year received all basic vaccinations — composed of one dose of BCG vaccine (against tuberculosis), three doses of DPT-containing vaccine (against diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus), three doses of polio vaccine and a dose of measles vaccine. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
