Expect cloudy skies, moderate rains over N. Luzon due to ‘amihan’—Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains is expected over Northern Luzon due to the northeast monsoon or “amihan,” the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Pagasa in its Sunday morning weather update said that cloudy skies with light to moderate rains will affect Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands.
Meanwhile, the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), and the rest of the Cagayan Valley Region will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains, the state weather bureau noted.
According to Pagasa weather specialist Meno Mendoza, fair weather with possible rain showers due to localized thunderstorms are expected over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
The state weather bureau added that warm temperature, brought about by the easterlies, continues to affect the rest of the country. /je
