Midas is SC spox anew; SC conducts partial reorganization
Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin has designated Court Administrator Jose Midas Marquez to once again be the spokesperson of the Supreme Court.
Marquez previously served as high court’s spokesman and Information Chief during the time of Chief Justice Reynato Puno.
He is the 14th Court administrator. As court administrator, he supervises over some 2,600 judges and 25,000 court personnel across the country.
At the same time, the high court also had a partial reorganization following the appointment of Bersamin and Associate Justice Rosmari Carandang.
In the high court’s first division, Bersamin will be the chairman while his members are Associate Justices Mariano del Castillo, Francis Jardeleza, Noel Tijam and Alexander Gesmundo.
Article continues after this advertisementThe second division, on the other hand will still be chaired by Senior Associate Justice Antonio Carpio with Associate Justices Estela Perlas-Bernabe, Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa and Carandang as members.
The third division is chaired by Associate Justice Diosdado Peralta with the following members: Associate Justices Marvic Leonen, Andres Reyes Jr., Ramon Hernandez, as well as Carandang. /je
