2 drug pushers fall in Lucena buy-bust

LUCENA CITY – Police arrested two suspected drug pushers in a buy-bust operation early Wednesday in this city.

Drug enforcement operatives collared Joey Villano and Jan Michael Tabernilla after the two sold “shabu” (crystal meth) to an undercover police officer in a transaction in Capitol Homesite Subd. in Barangay (village) Cotta around 12:20 a.m., Lucena police chief Supt. Reydante Ariza said in a report.

The suspects, both newly identified drug peddlers in the police drug watch list, yielded nine sachets of shabu weighing 2.20 grams worth about P4,000.

Police said residents have complained about their illegal drugs activities. The suspects are held at the city police jail. DELFIN T. MALLARI JR.
