4 dead in All Saint’s Day mishaps in Pangasinan

DAGUPAN CITY – Four people died in separate vehicular accidents at three Pangasinan towns on Thursday (Nov. 1), All Saint’s Day.

In Urdaneta City, a farmer driving a motorcycle died while his backrider, a laborer, was seriously injured when they slammed into the rear of a Five Star bus at the national road along Nancayasan village, at 11:50 p.m.

Ramsey Gacad, 41, was declared dead on arrival at the hospital, while his passenger, Dionie Andrada, 34, is being treated at a hospital.

Both, who are from Barangay Labit Proper, were not wearing any protective headgear.

In the same city, a hit-and-run victim died in Villasis town at 6:40 p.m.

Carlito Sales, 52, was driving to Villasis in a tricycle loaded with vegetables when he stopped to pick up produce that fell on the road.

He was struck by a vehicle and was declared dead on arrival at the Urdaneta City District Hospital.

In San Fabian town, Rufernz Berg Balangcad, 30, and Jerick Hizon, 29, both of Magliba village, died after their motorcycle was struck by an Isuzu truck that was attempting to make a U-turn along the highway at noon. Truck driver Erwin Reas, 32, surrendered to the police.
