Drug suspect killed, another yields P100k shabu

SAN PEDRO CITY – An illegal drug suspect was killed in Sta. Cruz town in Laguna province while another was arrested after police found suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) worth more than P100,000 in Bacoor City in Cavite province.

According to the regional police office, undercover policemen conducted a buy-bust targeting an alias “Nonoy,” of Muntinlupa City, at about 2 a.m. Sunday in Barangay (village) Santisima, Sta. Cruz.

Nonoy allegedly engaged law enforcers in a gunfight, forcing the police to shoot back and kill him.

In Bacoor City, suspect Christopher Quilao was arrested also in a buy bust at about 7:30 a.m. Saturday.

The police said Quilao must have sensed he was dealing with the police and began to open fire.

The police shot Quilao in the leg to immobilize him then took him to the St. Dominic Medical Center.

Recovered from Quilao were 21 grams of suspected shabu worth P146,472 and a revolver. /cbb
