MPD Police Supt. Rolando Anduyan said the project was meant to prevent the children from using solvent and rugby.
“Long-term solution ito na through education ia-adress yung mga nagso-solvent, nagru-rugby, (This is a long-term solution that through education it will address street children who are using rugby or solvent),” Anduyan told INQUIRER.net in a phone interview on Friday.
Anduyan said police officers with background on education are tasked to teach the street children.
“Graduate sila. Mga board passer sila pero nagpulis. (They are graduates. Some of them are board passers but opted to be police officers),” he said./ac
