Classes at University of Luzon disrupted by bomb threat
DAGUPAN CITY — Classes at the University of Luzon here were suspended on Thursday (Oct. 25) following a bomb threat sent through a text message.
Supt. Johndale Sulit, Dagupan City police chief, said an alarmed university official alerted police at about 9 a.m. about the threat, which warned of a “big explosion” in the university. The text message claimed there were three explosive devices hidden in classrooms and offices.
A team of policemen from a Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) unit immediately combed the campus, aided by a K9 unit.
“We are not done yet with the paneling (thorough search). But I think there’s nothing here,” said Sulit.
