Sara Duterte hits ACT-Teachers, Anakpawis for luring students to rallies
Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio on Tuesday slammed Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT-Teachers) Rep. Antonio Tinio and Anakpawis Rep. Ariel Casilao for allegedly encouraging young students to join rallies.
The Presidential daughter, in an Instagram post, criticized Casilao for taking students out of schools to join them in their demonstrations.
“Again, you do not deserve to be in Congress. When will the House of Representatives ever kick you out? Gising na po ethics committee,” Carpio wrote.
In another Instagram post, Carpio called on the public to stop supporting ACT-Teachers Party-list for “they do not endeavor to put children in schools.”
“Ibagsak ang ACT-Teachers, they do not endeavor to put children in schools. They want children to remain poor to be exploited by ACT-Teachers,” she said.
Earlier, Carpio asked the House of Representatives to expel members of the Makabayan bloc as she lashed out at the Davao chapter of ACT-Teachers Party-list for claiming that her city does not give local allowances to its teachers.
