Manila Times correspondent dies in highway crash
COTABATO CITY – A provincial correspondent of the Manila Times died in a vehicular crash in Matalam, North Cotabato, late Monday afternoon.
Mohammad “Moh” Saaduddin, 37, son-in-law of Manila Bulletin correspondent Ali Macabalang, figured in an accident along the national highway at about 5:30 p.m.
Macabalang said Saaduddin was driving his motorcycle traveling back home to Kidapawan City from a news coverage in Cotabato City when the accident happened.
Saaduddin’s motorbike rammed the rear of a cargo truck, the Matalam police said.
Macabalang said Saaduddin just came from the 3rd “Kanduli” thanksgiving of the Mangudadatu and Sinsuat political clans’ renewal of coalition at the Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex.
