Duterte not sick, Facebook video shows

To put to rest new speculations that President Duterte is sick, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque on Thursday posted on Facebook a video showing the President attending a command conference in Malacañang.

In the video, Duterte is seen walking while shaking hands with  officials of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippines National Police.

Roque, while taking the video, informed the President why he is recording him on video: “Sir, kinukuhanan ko po kayo ah kasi sabi nila may sakit raw po kayo (Sir, I’m taking this video because they are saying you are sick).”

The President turned to Roque and smiled.

Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go also posted on Facebook photos of the President taken before a meeting with former President Fidel Ramos.

“Another busy day at Malacañang,” Go wrote in the post.

Rumors on Duterte’s health resurfaced after he skipped the event of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (Pagcor) on Wednesday.

Roque, however, insisted that Duterte just took the day off and had some “private time” at Bahay Pangarap.

Duterte’s spokesman also said that the people will know if the President has a serious ailment in accordance with the Constitution. /ee
