Two robbers die in chase with QCPD police

Two alleged robbers were killed in a shootout with members of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Monday midnight.

An initial report said the still unidentified suspects held up two victims at gunpoint along Kalayaan Avenue.  They then fled on a blue Honda Wave motorcycle without a license plate.

Incidentally, patrolling policemen from QCPD’s Special Operations Unit (DSOU) saw the incident and pursued the suspects to Road 10 in the Project 6 area.

Before they were cornered, the suspects allegedly armed with pistols shot at the authorities, which prompting the lawmen to return fire and killing the duo.

One of the suspects was brought to the East Avenue Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival.

Responding officers recovered a 9-mm pistol and .38-caliber revolver from the suspects. /cbb
