MANILA, Philippines — Hot and humid temperatures are forecast to continue prevailing across the country on Thursday, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

“Inaasahan pa rin natin, dahil sa panahon ng tag-init at epekto ng El Niño, ang maalinsangang panahon pa rin sa bansa,” said Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio.

“Maliban sa maalinsangang panahon, may tiyansa pa rin ng isolated na pag ulan dulot ng thunderstorms sa bandang hapon at gabi,” he added.

(Aside from the sultry weather, there are also chances of isolated rain due to thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon and evening.)

Meanwhile, no storms or low-pressure areas are expected to enter or form within the Philippine area of responsibility.

Pagasa said the temperature range in key cities/areas across the country for Thursday will be:

  • Metro Manila: 26 to 37 degrees Celsius
  • Baguio City: 18 to 26 degrees Celsius
  • Laoag City: 27 to 34 degrees Celsius
  • Tuguegarao: 26 to 37 degrees Celsius
  • Legazpi City: 27 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Puerto Princesa City: 27 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Tagaytay: 24 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Kalayaan Islands: 27 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Iloilo City: 27 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Cebu: 26 to 33 degrees Celsius
  • Tacloban City: 26 to 33 degrees Celsius
  • Cagayan De Oro City: 26 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Zamboanga City: 25 to 34 degrees Celsius
  • Davao City: 26 to 33 degrees Celsius

No gale warning is raised across the country’s in-land seas and surrounding coasts.
