PRC: 3,135 pass 2018 Electrical Engineer Licensure Examination

A total of 3,135 out of 4,697 examinees passed the 2018 Electrical Engineer licensure examinations, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has announced.

The overall passing rate for the September 2018 board exam is at 66.74 percent, the PRC noted.

In April, the PRC registered a 52 percent passing rate for the same exam.

Niño Boy Dacer from Bicol University – Legazpi emerged as topnotcher of the board exam with a score of 93.05 percent while Eljhon Capili of the Colegio de San Juan de Letran – Intramuros and Leo Marcelo Villalba of Xavier University shared second place with a score of 92.15 percent.

Ronald Cabaoig, a graduate of Saint Louis University, placed third with a score of 91.40 percent.

Meanwhile, the University of Santo Tomas and University of Saint Louis emerged as the top performing schools with a 100 percent passing rate.

The results of the examination were released three working days after the last day of the exam.

It was administered by the PRC of Board Electrical Engineering in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban and Zamboanga.  /muf
