2 teens nabbed in Manila drug bust

Two teenagers were arrested Tuesday by the police in Sampaloc, Manila for alleged possession of illegal drug “shabu” (crystal meth).

Police identified the suspects as Ralph Lawrence Cariaso, 18; and Joshua Labriaga, 19. They were arrested along Alley 1 near the train tracks in Barangay 576, Zone 56 at around 11 a.m.

In its report, police said they launched the operation after receiving information from a tipster that the two were hooked on illegal drugs.

Authorities confiscated two small sachets of suspected “shabu” from the suspects.

Both suspects were taken to the Sampaloc police station, police said, as drug charges are being prepared against them.  /kga
