Kintanar claims 2 crowns in Milo jr. tennis

ARGAO’S  Crissianne Issa “Wanwan” Lucero Kintanar bagged two titles in the MILO Junior Tennis Cup Visayas leg held at the Tennis Courts in Laray, Consolacion town, southern Cebu.

Kintanar clinched the girls 14 and girls 16 titles in uncontested fashion. In the girls 14, Kintanar outclassed the younger and smaller Alexie Santos of Palawan, 6-3, 6-1. She bagged the girls 16 title with a 6-1, 6-2 dismissal of Glory Bohol.

Santos did not go home empty-handed as she salvaged the girls 12 title with a convincing win over Allysa Bornia, 6-0, 6-2.

The girls 18 title went to Iris Jaca but not without a struggle.

Jaca lost the first set to Christine Bellita, 5-7, but came back to win the second set, 6-4 and forced a super tiebreak which ended in her favor, 10-5.

In the boys division, Jan Godfrey Seno once again frustrated Arthur Craig ‘Igi” Diaz Pantino for the boys 12 title, 6-2, 4-6, 10-7.

Seno was not so lucky in the boys 14 as he conceded the title to Justin Asilo, 6-0, 6-2.

Ralp Juliane narrowly survived Marc Enriquez, 7-6, 7-6, for the boys 16 title.

The boys 18 title went to Francis Parangan, who had an easy time in frustrating Troy Pintor, 6-2, 6-4, for the title.

Pantino did not go home winless as he once again lorded over the 10 under unisex at the expense of Marc Suson, 6-0, 6-1.  /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
