Grenades, gun, bullets, marijuana seized from 2 men in Isabela
DELFIN ALBANO, ISABELA – Two suspected members of a private armed group were caught with an unlicensed gun, grenades, and marijuana during a police raid at Calaocan village here on Friday (August 3).
Armed with two search warrants, the police and agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency searched the houses of farmers Jojo Dumaliang, 40, and Esmeraldo Zubia, 54, who are allegedly part of an armed group operating in northern Isabela said Senior Inspector Frances Littaua, Isabela police spokesperson.
Seized from Dumaliang’s house were a cal. 45 handgun and ammunition, a hand grenade, a pack of dried marijuana leaves, and bullets for an M-16 Armalite rifle.
Zubia surrendered a hand grenade, a blue bag containing dried marijuana leaves, five cal. 45 bullets and five cal. 9-mm bullets.
