Woman stabbed dead in Lapu home

A WOMAN was found dead with a stab wound in the chest inside her house in barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City.

Genelyn Zosobrado was discovered dead by her 9-year-old son around 7 a.m. yesterday. The woman may have been killed around 4 a.m., said police.

The woman’s live-in partner, Arvin Empanado, 31, was tagged as suspect. The man was nowhere to be found when the woman’s body was found.

SIBONGA FARMER KILLED

A 43-YEAR-OLD farmer was shot dead last Friday in barangay Mangyan, Sibonga town, southern Cebu.

Demeterio Cabillo had just brought his daughter to school and was walking home when unidentified assailants waylaid him.

The farmer had three gunshot wounds in the chest.

No one was able to see the crime as the shooting happened in a bushy area, said police.
