Former solon hits SC ruling on Arroyo
FORMER Akbayan party-list representative Risa Hontiveros-Baraquel criticized the Supreme Court for ruling in favor of former President Gloria Arroyo and allowing her to travel.
“They are biased—those eight justices led by (Justice Renato) Corona who voted in favor of GMA and against the government,” said Baraquel, who visited Cebu yesterday.
She said there would be a Truth Forum on Monday in preparation for the Supreme Court hearing on Tuesday to discuss about the validity of the electoral sabotage case filed by Department of Justice (DOJ) against Arroyo.
The Anti-Gloria movement will also hold a forum called Busina Para Kina Corona-Arroyo at Busina Para Sa Katotohanan in almost all universities and colleges in Manila.
“We want real rule of law and we want to bring back public trust to the Supreme Court,” she said.
Baraquel also defended Justice Secretary Leila de Lima who was criticized for not following the Supreme Court ruling allowing Arroyo to leave the country.
