High-value drug suspect faces raps for P1.2-M shabu
The Eastern Police District (EPD) is set to file charges against a high-value target who was caught with 34 sachets of shabu amounting to P1.2 million in an operation in Barangay Pineda, Pasig City, on Tuesday.
The suspect, Antonio Intalan, 49, and the alleged drugs were presented by National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Chief Supt. Guillermo Eleazar and EPD Director Senior Supt. Bernabe Balba at a press conference on Wednesday.
Intalan will face charges for violating sections of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
According to the NCRPO, the operation along Old MRR Street in the barangay was launched after intelligence reports pointing to the activities of drug dealers.
A previous report said Intalan, a member of the Amin Buratong drug syndicate, was on list of the Top 10 high-value targets and had been arrested in 2013, 2014, and 2017. /cbb
