Cops seize ‘shabu’ worth P1.25M from suspect in Pasig drug bust
Police arrested on Tuesday a suspected member of the Amin Buratong drug syndicate in a buy-bust operation conducted in Pasig City and seized from him P1.25-million worth of crystal meth, or shabu.
Police identified the suspect as Antonio Intalan, 49, a resident of MRR Street in Barangay Pineda in Pasig City.
The bust was conducted by the Chief District Drug Enforcement Unit, which is led by Chief Insp. Allan Miparanum, and the District Intelligence Unit, which is led by Supt. Hendrix Mangaldan.
Police confiscated six small heat-sealed plastic sachets in a wallet and 27 medium-sized heat-sealed sachets inside a sunglass pouch with an estimated weight of 190 grams and an estimated street value of P1.25 million.
Intalan is also included on the top 10 high value target of the Eastern Police District.
According to police, the Amin Buratong drug syndicate once operated a “shabu tiangge” also in Pasig, which was shut down in 2006.
Article continues after this advertisementIntalan had three previous arrests in 2013 and 2014 – all for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. But all his cases were dismissed.
Then, he was arrested again for another drug case in 2017, but he managed to post bail. /atm
