Pagasa spots LPA east off Aparri in Cagayan
The state weather bureau spotted on Wednesday a low pressure area (LPA) 1,295 kilometers east off Aparri in Cagayan.
The LPA may turn into a tropical depression, but it will have no direct effect in the country’s weather systems, according to Obet Badrina, weather specialist at the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Meanwhile, the other LPA monitored in the West Philippine Sea has moved outside the Philippine area of responsibility, which means that there is a higher chance that a large part of the country will have fair weather.
However, Pagasa warned of possible isolated rain showers and light to moderate rains all over the country, due to localized thunderstorms. /atm
