CABANATUAN CITY – A 52-year-old widow was arrested on Tuesday (June 12) for allegedly offering money so the police would drop charges filed against her two sons earlier caught in a drug bust.
Francisca de Leon, a businesswoman from Barangay (village) Pamaldan here, was charged for attempting to bribe policemen of the local drug enforcement unit with P30,000 in cash for the release of her sons Mario, 35, and Eusebio, 32, around 2 p.m., said Supt. Ponciano Zafra, Cabanatuan police chief.
