DAGUPAN CITY – The newly elected chairman of Sto. Domingo village in Sual town was killed in his house by motorcycle-riding gunmen at 10 a.m. on Friday (June 8), police said.

Romulo Agbayani was holding a meeting with farmers when the killers, wearing bonnets, shot him in his head and body.

People saw the gunmen also followed the barangay patrol vehicle, which was used to bring Agbayani to the hospital in nearby Alaminos City, said Sual Mayor Roberto Arcinue.

“The residents are alarmed. Our town was cited by the regional police as a peaceful town. But this happened. It is shocking,” Arcinue said.
