Communications Assistant Secretary Margaux “Mocha” Uson was unapologetic on Wednesday as she responded to Kris Aquino’s complaint that she dragged her father into the issue on President Rodrigo Duterte’s controversial kiss with a married Filipina.
“Ito po ang aking response sa live video ni (This is my response to) Ms. Kris Aquino. This is not about Kris Aquino. Tungkol ito sa paglagay ng malisya sa isang halik. Itinumbas lang sa gawain ng ibang lider tulad ng tatay niya (It’s about putting malice into a kiss),” Uson said in a video message posted on her Facebook page.
“Ms. Aquino, this is not about you,” Uson reiterated.
In a separate post on her Facebook page, Uson said, “With all due respect to everyone involved, I decline to apologize for the truth.”
Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go earlier on Wednesday said Uson would apologize to Aquino after Duterte said sorry to the TV-Host actress for the incident.

Uson earlier uploaded on Facebook a video of the late Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. being kissed by his supporters inside a plane after a self-imposed exile.
She compared this to the President’s controversial kiss with the Filipina. / ee
