The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Tuesday said transport network company (TNC) Grab must submit a petition before it could impose a cancelation fee on passengers.
On the sidelines of Grab’s open forum on Tuesday, LTFRB Board Member Aileen Lizada told Grab spokesperson, Leo Gonzales, that the TNC should also explain under what circumstances a rider would be charged a cancelation fee.
Gonzales said they were currently finalizing the code of conduct for passengers, which would include a module on penalizing those who frequently cancel rides for no reason.
According to recent Grab data, passengers were twice likely to cancel rides compared to drivers. —Krixia Subingsubing
