MANILA, Philippines — A social media post which claimed that people can receive a P7,000 cash gift from the Department of Social Welfare and Development is fake, the DSWD said on Tuesday.According to the post, the cash gift is part of the department’s Labor Day celebration.
“Walang katotohanan ang mga kumakalat na link na makatatanggap ng Labor Day gift na nagkakahalagang Php7,000 pesos sa pamamagitan lamang ng pagsagot sa isang survey questionnaire,” the DSWD said in an advisory.
(The link that claims that those who will answer a survey will receive P7,000 as a Labor Day gift is not true.)
The DSWD also advised the public not to fall for posts that do not come from its official Facebook page.
“Huwag magpalinlang sa mga posts o link kung hindi ito galing sa official Facebook page ng DSWD,” it added.
