Fire hits 4-story building in Manila
MANILA, Philippines—A fire hit a building in Binondo, Manila, Thursday afternoon, Senior Fire Officer 2 Marson Perez of the Manila Fire Department said.
The fire, which razed the fourth and topmost floor of the Ligaya Bldg. along Alvarado Street in Binondo at 1:43 p.m., reached the second alarm before it was declared under control by firefighters, Perez said.
Perez could not determine whether Ligaya building was a commercial or a residential one.
Perez added that there were no reports of injuries due to the fire and that they had yet to determine the cause of the blaze.—Karen Boncocan
