Operations at the Light Rail Transit 2 (LRT-2) were briefly disrupted on Friday afternoon after signaling and communications systems between V. Mapa to Recto stations bogged down.
Provisional service was limited from Santolan to V. Mapa stations from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Operations were reverted back to full service at 4:31 p.m.
As of 4:31 PM, LRT-2 full service operation has resumed. Train service now available from Santolan to Recto and vice versa.

In an advisory on Friday afternoon, LRT Authority (LRTA) spokesman Atty. Hernando Cabrera said that operations were limited due to a fault in the signaling system.
“LRT-2 signaling and communication systems between V. Mapa and Recto Stations down. LRT-2 on limited operations – Santolan to V. Mapa and back only since 3:30 PM,” Cabrera said on Twitter.

This was the second time the LRT-2 was forced to limit its operations this week.
The transit line on Wednesday briefly limited its operations from Santolan to Araneta Center-Cubao stations only due to an obstruction on the cables which supply electricity to trains between J. Ruiz and V. Mapa stations. /muf
