At least 11,000 construction-related jobs are now available on the online portal launched by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Tuesday. The portal consolidated all employment opportunities in the Duterte administration’s flagship “Build, Build, Build” infrastructure program.
Public Works Secretary Mark Villar said the jobs posted on the www.build.gov.ph website were just the initial batch of more than 100,000 jobs that would be generated by Build, Build, Build projects.
Villar said the jobs were not only in Metro Manila, but also in the Visayas and Mindanao.
At the portal launch on Tuesday, Villar said the portal made it “easier and more convenient” for job seekers to be part of the Build, Build, Build program.
He said he hoped the availability of Build, Build, Build jobs that offer “competitive” salaries would entice workers and engineers currently abroad to come home. —Jovic Yee
