A northbound train of the Metro Rail Transit line 3 (MRT-3) suffered a technical glitch on Monday.

Aly Narvaez, MRT-3 media relations officer, said the train experienced a “door failure” between Magallanes and Ayala stations around 7:00 a.m.

The number of passengers affected by the mechanical trouble has yet to be determined, she added.

As a contingency measure, the management implemented a provisional service from North Avenue to Shaw Blvd. stations to remove the defective train, Narvaez said.

Around 7:39 a.m., however, normal operations of the MRT-3 resumed.       /kga
