Man dead in hit-and-run incident in Quezon
LUCENA CITY –– A still unidentified man died after he was hit by a car that ran off in Pagbilao town in Quezon province early Sunday.
Police report said a barangay tanod (village watchman) reported that a motorist notified them at the barangay hall about the presence of a body along the new zigzag road in Sitio (sub-village) Sapinit in Barangay Silangang Malicboy around 12:05 a.m.
Investigators found out that the severely injured man died on the spot after he was bumped by still an unidentified vehicle.
Police suspected that the victim was mentally ill and was often seen wandering in the area. Investigation is on-going. /je
