SANTIAGO CITY— A 28-year-old woman survived after being stabbed 25 times by her alleged rapist in Rizal village on Thursday, police said.

Olive Dionisio, 28, was sleeping with her three children when their neighbor Armando Diocares, a 20-year-old construction worker, sneaked through an open window and attempted to molest her.

Diocares stabbed Dionisio when she fought him off, said Chief Inspector Rolando Gatan, station 1 chief of the Santiago police.
