Isabela woman survives 25 stab wounds in rape try
SANTIAGO CITY— A 28-year-old woman survived after being stabbed 25 times by her alleged rapist in Rizal village on Thursday, police said.
Olive Dionisio, 28, was sleeping with her three children when their neighbor Armando Diocares, a 20-year-old construction worker, sneaked through an open window and attempted to molest her.
Diocares stabbed Dionisio when she fought him off, said Chief Inspector Rolando Gatan, station 1 chief of the Santiago police.
Diocares fled but was later arrested at the house of his father, Marcelino, in Divisoria village.
Meanwhile, Dionisio is recuperating at a hospital in the city. /vvp
